| Allergan 4Q Profit Falls 2 Percent
Allergan Inc., the company best known for its Botox wrinkle treatment, said Wednesday that its fourth-quarter profit fell 2 percent on the continued integration of acquired cosmetic surgery products maker Inamed Corp. Net income declined to $136.8 million, or 89 cents per share, from $140.1 million, or $1.03 per share, in the year-ago period. The company reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.02 for the latest quarter. Revenue rose 39 percent to $829.1 million from $598.8 million. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial expected earnings per share of $1.02 on revenue of $816.5 million. For the full year, the company posted a loss of $127.4 million, or 87 cents per share, versus a profit of $403.9 million, or $3.01 per share, last year. Allergan reported adjusted earnings of $3.66 per share in 2006, excluding the cost of acquiring Inamed.

The crap-shoot that is collegiate football recruiting had to be even tougher for UL's football program five seasons ago.
